How we are dealing with the COVID-19 situation

In the current difficult situation with the coronavirus impacting the global community, pbb is committed to continuing to provide the service to which you have become accustomed, whilst, at the same time making the safety of its staff and their families a priority. We are constantly monitoring the situation and are taking measures informed by the most current guidance from leading health authorities and experts as well as official and regulatory rules and recommendations.
 
The following list of actions that have been taken in this respect may not be comprehensive as the current environment is very dynamic.

  • We have augmented our already robust Business Continuity Plan and Pandemic Response Plan with specific steps to account for the coronavirus.
  • As the situation continues to develop, we have asked employees to work as much from home as possible and justifiable, but also have as much presence in the Bank as necessary. Staff are fully prepared to work remotely, accessing company systems that ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of email and documents. We are confident of our ability to seamlessly maintain operations in the event of an office closure or other disruption.
  • We have taken a number of precautionary measures to minimize the risk to our colleagues and others. This includes recommendations for personal hygiene, rules for social distancing (including an increased use of technology e.g. to support virtual meetings where possible) as well as adjusted travel policies and rules for returnees form high-risk areas. We have also made the decision to cancel larger-scale events.

The Coronavirus is affecting all economies and, as a result, the real estate markets as well. We have increased the monitoring of our loan book and will continue with our approach to new business in line with our conservative risk strategy.
