Barkha Mehmedagic joined pbb on 1 March 2026

Munich, 3 March 2026 – Barkha Mehmedagic joined Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG (pbb) on 1 March 2026, where she will be responsible for the Real Estate Finance Solutions division. Subject to regulatory approval, she is expected to take over the relevant board position from Thomas Köntgen on 1 June 2026. After more than ten years on the Executive Board, Thomas Köntgen will leave the bank at his own request and on the best of terms to pursue new challenges. 

Mehmedagic comes from ING Germany and brings more than 25 years of experience in the real estate industry. In her most recent position there, she was responsible for commercial real estate financing for Germany, Austria and Czechia in the corporate client business.
