Garching, 29 October 2026 – Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG (pbb) is providing financing for the Jade-North residential property portfolio.

The portfolio comprises a total of 1,010 residential units and around 170 parking spaces across seven locations in northern Germany. The borrower is a special-purpose vehicle of Net Zero Properties.

The existing properties, which are used exclusively for residential purposes, are mainly located in Lower Saxony, with one site in Schleswig-Holstein. They have a total floor area of around 58,000 square metres. The investor partner is Net Zero Properties. A key focus is on the energy-efficiency upgrade of the portfolio.

“We are delighted with this successful transaction with a new partner. With this financing, pbb is underlining its activities in the German residential property market. In particular, the energy-efficiency transformation of existing properties is becoming increasingly important to us in order to strengthen the future viability of properties and gradually adapt the building stock to rising energy efficiency requirements,” says Gerhard Meitinger, Head of Real Estate Finance Germany.

Following the acquisition, appropriate measures are planned in collaboration with a contracting partner. The plan involves a combination of AI-supported heating optimisation, the fitting of heat pumps and the installation of photovoltaic systems. The aim is to improve the energy efficiency of the buildings in a sustainable manner and, in the long term, to achieve energy efficiency ratings in the A to C range.
