Information regarding pbb’s Management Board – CFO Marcus Schulte extends contract early

Share article

Garching, 1 April 2026 – The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG (pbb) has extended Marcus Schulte’s appointment as CFO ahead of schedule by a further three years, up to and including 31 December 2029. Marcus Schulte will also take over the position of Deputy CEO from Thomas Köntgen. As previously announced, Thomas Köntgen will step down from the pbb Management Board at the end of his term on 11 May 2026.

Dr Pamela Hoerr, Member of the pbb Management Board and responsible for Real Estate Investment Solutions as well as ESG, will not be renewing her contract, which runs until January 2027, at her own request. Since her appointment in January 2024, Dr Pamela Hoerr has built up pbb’s investment management division, thereby making a significant contribution to the diversification of the bank’s business model. A key milestone in this regard was the acquisition of a majority stake in the Deutsche Investment Group under her leadership, with over EUR 3 billion in assets under management, and its successful integration into the pbb Group.

“I would like to thank Dr Pamela Hoerr for her important contribution to the Bank’s transformation, particularly for her essential work in establishing pbb’s investment management. Real Estate Investment Solutions is now the Bank’s second pillar of revenue. This is largely to her credit. It is also thanks to her great commitment that the Bank has been able to establish a strong position in the ESG sector. We will announce Dr Pamela Hoerr’s successor in due course,” said Dr Louis Hagen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of pbb.
